How do the conditioners transfer from the dryer onto my hair?

The micro-conditioners are stored inside the dryer. Triggered by the temperature shift of the heated air, they are picked up within the air stream and distributed onto the hair, forming a protective layer against humidity and other environmental elements that can lead to frizz throughout the day.

Will the heat-activated micro-conditioners make my hair oily?

No, they are released onto the hair in an even but small amount.

Do the heat-activated micro-conditioners run out?

They last the lifetime of the product – 5 years guaranteed.

Do I need to clean my dryer?

Yes, to maintain peak product performance and to prolong motor life, it is important to regularly remove any dust and dirt build-up from the air inlet. To clean, remove the removable air filter and wipe the inner mesh with a soft brush or dry cloth. Do not attempt to remove the inner mesh underneath the removable air filter as it is permanently attached to the hairdryer.

The heat and speed LEDs flashing when I turn on my dryer, is there an issue?

This indicates that the Internal Cleaning Cycle is due to help keep the motor operating smoothly.

After 800 minutes of use, when you switch on your hairdryer, the heat and speed setting displays will flash 10 times. Press and hold the speed and heat buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. This will activate the Internal Cleaning Cycle.

During the Internal Cleaning Cycle, the motor will operate in the reverse direction for 10 seconds and blow air out of the air filter to clean the internal parts of the dryer. If the Internal Cleaning Cycle is not completed, the cleaning reminder will activate again the next time you switch on your hair dryer.

The Floating Plate System on the AIRvive™ Slim Straightener features two floating plates. Both styling plates have a small amount of movement, adjusting to the pressure applied whilst styling to help cushion your hair rather than clamping for a smooth glide.

How do I know when my straightener is ready to use?

How do I activate Ionic Air Technology?

Ionic Air is activated the first time you switch on the straightener but can be easily turned off and on again with the control button on the side of the styler.

How do I know that Ionic Air Technology is working?

When Ionic Air is activated, you will hear a fan sound as the styler draws in air through the air inlet, pushes it through the handle, and out of the air outlet vents onto your hair.

Why can’t I feel the air coming out of the air outlet vents?

If Ionic Air is switched on and you can hear the fan then air is being distributed through the outlet vents on the edge of the styling plates. The airflow speed is intentionally gentle to cool your hair without disturbing the smooth surface of newly styled strands.

Can I use Ionic Air Technology on any heat setting?

Yes, Ionic Air Technology can be used in combination with any of the five heat settings.
